- US to help upgrade Romanian reactor PLA Daily 13 Feb 2004 -- The United States will extend financial support to upgrade the Triga research reactor, based in Pitesti in southern Romania, from enriched uranium fuel into depleted uranium fuel, Lucian Biro, president of the National Commission on Nuclear Activities Control (NCNAC) said on Wednesday.
