S. Korean Authorities Launch Provocative Military Drill

Pyongyang, May 27 (KCNA) -- According to media reports, south Korean authorities launched Ulji Thaeguk drill throughout south Korea on May 27.
The Ulji Thaeguk drill is a combination of Ulji drill, a part of Ulji Freedom Guardian, and Thaeguk drill, which the south Korean military has performed alone. The south Korean military authorities announced that the current drill will run till May 30 with the involvement of the units assigned to the Defence Ministry.
Even more than 480 000 civilians from over 4 000 administrative bodies and public institutions of cities, counties and districts of south Korea will reportedly take part in the drill.
The south Korean authorities decided to conduct a drill of reorganizing all work on a war footing to cope with the "provocation of a local war" by someone, including the issuing of mobilization order and emergency call of public officials, on the sidelines of the drill.
It is said that the "prime minister" summoned the heads of central administrative bodies, mayors, provincial governors and commanding officers of the army to the building of the "government" in Seoul on May 14 to discuss the current drill. -0-
