U.S. Moves to Deploy Military Hardware in S. Korea under Fire

Korean Central News Agency of DPRK via Korea News Service (KNS)

Pyongyang, May 22 (KCNA) -- Some time ago, the United States announced a plan to deploy the high-efficiency surface-to-air missile "SM-2" system and three Aegis destroyers in south Korea.
Such moves to deploy up-to-date military hardware under the pretext of "military drill" are prompted by an intention to mount a preemptive attack on the DPRK after massively deploying armed forces of aggression in and around the Korean Peninsula, Minju Joson Tuesday says in a signed commentary.
    It goes on:
Recently the U.S. and south Korean warlike forces frantically staged RSOI and Foal Eagle joint military exercises against the DPRK and test-fired Tomahawk Black-3 cruise missile on a nuclear-powered cruiser in the Atlantic Ocean. These facts go to prove that the U.S. is still persisting in the military confrontation with the DPRK.
The U.S. policy of military confrontation with the DPRK is an intentional and premeditated move to stonewall the denuclearization and peace of the Korean Peninsula and aggravate military tension in order to drive the situation to the brink of war.
It is the invariable ambition of the U.S. to realize its Asia strategy with the Korean Peninsula as a springboard. The U.S. seeks to secure a military guarantee for its world supremacy at any cost by accelerating the modernization and build-up of its aggression armed forces in the Korean Peninsula and its vicinity and gaining the upper hand in strength.
The U.S. will be entirely held accountable for serious consequences to be entailed by its reckless military confrontation policy.
