Telephone notification received from North Korea suggesting delay of working-level meetings in Gaeseong to early April

o North Korea has sent telephone notification issued under the name of Choi Young-gun, chairman of the Inter-Korean Economic Cooperation Promotion Committee, suggesting that the 4th Working-level Consultative Meeting on Railroads and Roads, and the 3rd Working-level Consultative Meeting on Prevention of Flooding in the Imjin River Basin in Gaeseong, which were scheduled to be held March 24-26 (three days), be delayed to early April.
o In the notification, North Korea
- claimed that it cannot hold the meetings in a situation where South Korea is conducting the Foal Eagle joint military training exercise and combined war-time reinforcement training exercise.
