S. Korean Delegation Leaves

    Pyongyang, August 17 (KCNA) -- The south Korean delegation co-headed by Paek To Ung, manager of the Council of Christian Churches, Yun Jae Chol, permanent chairman of the People's Council for National Reconciliation and Cooperation, and Han Sang Ryol, permanent representative of the Reunification Solidarity, left here today after participating in the August 15 National Rally for Peace and Reunification. It was seen off at the airport by An Kyong Ho, vice-chairman of the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Fatherland, Jang Jae On, chairman of the Korean Council of Religionists, Ri Mun Hwan, vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the Korean Chondoist Chongu Party, Song Sok Hwan, vice-minister of Culture, Ho Hyok Phil, vice-chairman of the National Reconciliation Council, and other officials concerned and working people in the city.
    Han Sang Ryol in a statement released at the airport expressed sincere thanks to the fellow countrymen in the north for giving compatriotic hospitality to the south Korean delegation during the rally, and said that the rally would be recorded as a brilliant chapter in the history of the struggle of the Korean nation for peace and reunification desired by the 70 million fellow countrymen.
    Noting that any difficulties would not block the Korean nation's desire for reunification, he stressed that the prospect of peaceful reunification would remain bright as long as there is the will of the fellow countrymen to defend the June 15 joint declaration.
