(Following is an unofficial translation of the text of a joint press release following an inter-Korean economic cooperation promotion committee meeting.)
The South and the North held the 4th meeting of the South-North Economic Cooperation Promotion Committee in Seoul from February 11 to 14, 2003.
In the meeting, the two parties shared the view that they would expand and develop exchange and cooperation, now in progress between the South and the North in the economic sector, on a sustained basis. They also agreed to continue discussions about devising concrete measures to promote the already-agreed matters such as the projects to link railways and roads, construction of the Gaeseong Industrial Complex and prevention of floods along the Imjin River.
The two parties agreed to hold the 5th meeting of the South-North Economic Cooperation Promotion Committee in Pyongyang in April.
