On November 18, Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov held talks with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Muhammad Ishaq Dar, who was in Moscow as head of his country's official delegation to the SCO Council of the Heads of Government meeting.
The foreign ministers discussed key issues on the bilateral agenda and coordinated their positions on the major international and regional problems.
The parties underscored the overlapping of Moscow's and Islamabad's positions on the majority of aspects on the international agenda. They have also reaffirmed their intention to continue a constructive interaction within the SCO, which is a key component in the Eurasian system of security and sustainable development.
