Pakistan Defense Minister given additional FM charges

Islamabad, May 11, IRNA -- Defense Minister of Pakistan Khurram Dastgir Khan has been given additional charge of ministry of foreign affairs, state media reported.
He will look after the foreign affairs ministry by the end of National Assembly's term.
Earlier the Islamabad High Court had disqualified former foreign minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif for concealing assets in his nomination papers.
Khurram Dastgir Khan, a Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz lawmaker has served in several ministries during the incumbent government's tenure.
He started off as the state minister for privatization in 2013, but later in the same year was moved to the commerce ministry.
