- Pakistani Minister Rules Out Political Concessions to Taliban VOA 25 Mar 2014 -- A key minister in Pakistan said Tuesday that local Taliban insurgents involved in peace talks with the government are asking for a political role in any future arrangement to stabilize the violence-plagued tribal territory on the Afghan border. The minister, however, says the Taliban will not be given such a role.
- US Proposal to Donate MRAPs to Pakistan Exposes Kabul Rift VOA 21 Mar 2014 -- The United States is considering donating some of its 1200 mine-resistant ambush-protected vehicles known as MRAPs in Afghanistan to neighboring Pakistan after considering the high cost of transporting the vehicles out of the country when the NATO-led combat mission in Afghanistan formally comes to an end in December. However, the proposal has drawn strong opposition from authorities in Kabul, who say all of the equipment should remain in their country.

- Pak spy agency harbored former al-Qaeda chief: Report Iran Press TV 19 Mar 2014 -- A media report says former Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) chief Lieutenant Genera Ahmed Shuja Pasha knew of former al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden's hideout in Pakistan.
- Pakistan Bombing Leads to Questions on Peace Talks with Militants VOA 14 Mar 2014 -- A bomb blast near a police vehicle in the northwestern Pakistani city of Peshawar has killed at least three people. The latest attack will likely further fray support for government efforts to reach a peace settlement with the Taliban through dialogue.
- US Drone Strikes, Civilian Casualties Drop in Pakistan Last Year VOA 12 Mar 2014 -- A United Nations investigation finds a significant reduction in the use of armed drones by the United States in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas [FATA] of Pakistan in 2013. The report, which has been submitted to the U.N. Human Rights Council, paints a much bleaker picture, however, of the use of drones in Afghanistan and Yemen.
