Islamabad, Oct 2, IRNA -- An American spy aircraft on Monday killed three people in Pakistan’s North Waziristan tribal region, tribesmen said.
The drone fired four missiles on a vehicle in Mir Ali area, some 30 kilometers from Miranshah, headquarters of North Waziristan.
Residents said the vehicle was destroyed in the early morning strike. They said several US unmanned aircraft were flying over the area before and after the strike.
Officials also confirmed the strike but did not say anything about the identity of the slain men.
It is the second US drone attack in a week North Waziristan, which the Americans say is a stronghold of the militants, blamed for cross-border attacks into Afghanistan.
Five people were killed in Mir Ali on September 24 when US drones struck a house.
The attack came just few days ahead of a march towards Waziristan tribal region to be organized by Pakistan Tehreek-e Insaf (PTI) party of politician-turned cricketer Imran Khan.
