Nine Policemen Killed in Pakistan Gun Attack
07:59 12/07/2012 MOSCOW, July 12 (RIA Novosti) - At least nine policemen were killed and three more wounded after a group of militants attacked a police building in the eastern Pakistani city of Lahore, Xinhua news agency reported on Thursday.
Some 30 policemen, who came to Lahore for a special training, were in the building that was subjected to the attack at around 6:00 a.m. local time. Many of them went to breakfast at that time and there were about 12 policemen still sleeping inside.
According to the agency, six militants arrived at the building on motorbikes and as three of them remained outside the other three entered the building and opened fire on the sleeping policemen.
None of terrorist organizations have claimed responsibility for the attack as of yet, the agency added.
