Army launches operation to rescue trapped soldiers: spokesman

Islamabad, April 7, IRNA -- Army has launched operation to rescue soldiers, buried in an avalanche in northern Pakistan, spokesman said on Saturday.
Pakistan army spokesman Major General Athar Abbas talking to media said that at least 100 Pakistani soldiers were buried when an avalanche hit their camp in Siachen area of Pakistan.
More than 100 soldiers of NLI (Northern Light Infantry) including a colonel were trapped when the avalanche hit their military camp overnight, Abbas said.
