Pakistan Air Force aircraft crashes

Islamabad, Jan 26, IRNA -- A Pakistan Air Force (PAF) aircraft crashed Wednesday in the country's eastern province of Punjab, official sources said.
The aircraft came down during a training mission in Mianwali, however the pilots of the aircraft managed to escape.
According to an air force spokesman, it was an FT-7 training aircraft. It crashed soon after takeoff from the base.
A woman trainee pilot Fatima and her instructor Wing Commander Waqar Ahmad were critically injured in the crash and were later shifted to a PAF Hospital in a helicopter.
The PAF and security agencies cordoned off the area and launched investigation to know the cause of the crash.
