Islamabad, Jan 21, IRNA -- Pakistan Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kiyani, in a meeting with President Asif Ali Zardari, has proposed to keep NATO supplies blocked till the parliament takes a decision in this regard, a media report said on Saturday.

According to a report published in daily ‘The Nation’ the president and army chief met informally over tea at the President’s House after the award conferring ceremony of Naval Chief Admiral Asif Sandila yesterday.

Earlier during the special investiture ceremony, President Zardari decorated Naval Chief Admiral Muhammad Asif Sandila with Nishan-i-Imtiaz (military). The army chief, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Khalid Shameem Wynne and Air Chief Marshal Rao Qamar Suleman also attended the ceremony.
