Two security officials killed in check post attack

Islamabad, Nov 2, IRNA -- Two security officials were killed and two others injured in an attack on a check post in northwestern Pakistani tribal region, sources said.
Official sources said the militants had attacked the check post with rockets and other heavy weapons located in Ghalnai area of Mohmand tribal region early Wednesday.
During a strong retaliation from security forces, cross firing continued for 2 hours.
Four security men were injured during the gunfight and they were shifted to hospital but two of them succumbed to injuries before reaching the hospital.
The other two are shifted to Peshawar hospital. After the incident, the security forces cordoned off the area and house to house search has been started.
