Four die in blast in music CDs shops in Pakistan

Islamabad, Sept. 20, IRNA -- A blast in a music CDs shops killed at least one person in the northwestern city of Peshawar Monday night, local media reported.
Express TV reported that 35 more people were also injured. Reports said the man died in the blast was owner of the shop.
The blast took place at the busy Nishtar Abad area of Peshawar, the capital of Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa province.
Blaze erupted in the shop and fire tenders were called to extinguish the fire.
Witnesses said flames also spread to some nearby shops. At least one vehicle was also destroyed in the blast.
Ambulances arrived at the scene and shifted the injured to the nearby hospital.
Nature of the blast was not clear and the police said they are investigating.
TV footage showed flames coming out of the shop and fire fighters struggling to control the fire.
Other shops were closed after panic gripped the area due to the wave of terror attacks in parts of Pakistan.
Earlier a suicide attack on the home of a senior police officer killed at least 8 people, including six policemen, in the southern port city of Karachi, Monday morning.
Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.
