Blast kills child, driver of school bus in Pakistan: minister

Islamabad,Dec 13,IRNA -- A bomb attack on a school bus killed a child and its driver in Pakistan's northwestern city of Peshawar on Monday, a provincial minister said.
Local TV channels earlier reported that two children and the bus driver were killed in the blast in Peshawar, the capital of Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa.
Senior Provincial Minister Bashir Bilour said that a child and the driver were killed and another child was injured.
Police officer Ejaz Khan said that the device was detonated with the help of remote control.
No group claimed responsibility for the attack.
The senior provincial minister blamed the militants for the blast and said that the militants are targeting civilians in frustration.
The students of Sir Syed Islamia High School were going home when the roadside bomb exploded near the bus at Landi Arbab area.
Police said that the driver had dropped most of the children at homes and only two were in the bus when the blast took place.
The police arrested two persons from the site of the blast and took them for questioning.
TV footage showed the damaged bus while its all widows were smashed. School bags and books of the affected children were shown lying in the bus.
