Bomber Kills Seven Near Minister's Home In Pakistan
July 26, 2010
Officials say a Taliban suicide bomber struck today near the home of a Pakistani provincial minister, killing seven people and injuring 25.
Mian Iftikhar Hussain, information minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province and an outspoken critic of the Taliban, was the apparent target.
He was elsewhere at the time of the blast and was safe.
The Pakistani Taliban claimed responsibility for the bombing.
On July 24, Hussain's son, Rashid Hussain, was gunned down.
