12 killed in blast in eastern Pakistan: rescue officials

Islamabad, Dec 8, IRNA -- At least 12 persons were killed when a bomb blast ripped through an army area in the Pakistani eastern city of Multan on Tuesday, rescue team said.
The blast occurred near the office of spy agency ISI and an army school at Qasim Bela area at 12:10 p.m., police said.
An official of the police emergency rescue team Dr Kalim said that 12 people were killed in the attack.
Several school children were among the injured, hospital sources said.
TV footage showed several collapsed and damaged buildings while the army was stopping the people from approaching the area.
No group claimed responsibility for the attack.
Police said that 10 other people were also injured in the attack, who were shifted to Nishtar Hospital.
