PM says there is no threat to government

Islamabad, Nov 30, IRNA - Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani said there is no threat to the government and the democracy in the country.
He made the remarks while talking to reporters during his visit to Adiala Jail Rawalpindi on Monday.
He said alliance with Muttehida Qaumi Movement and other parties will remain intact, adding Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif does not want to detail the democratic system.
He further stressed that he enjoyed cordial relations with President Asif Ali Zardari.
He added that the President divested himself of the powers of Chairman National Command Authority and transferred it to the elected prime minister through repopulation of National Command Authority Ordinance, 2009.
He said the President was also committed to repeal the 17th amendment.
