Commander among several militants, 5 Pakistani soldiers killed

Islamabad, May 22, IRNA -- Pakistan army said Thursday‘s number of miscreants-terrorists including important miscreant commander Abu Tariq and five soldiers were killed in fighting in Swat valley in last 24 hours.
An army statement said that 7 miscreants were apprehended while seven soldiers including an officer were injured, in various areas of Swat.
The security Forces have cleared a number of miscreants hideouts in Peochar Valley, the former stronghold and training center of militants, and are conducting search and destroy operations, it said.
Fire battles are taking place between miscreants-terrorists and own troops, according to the statement.
The security forces have secured and cleared several areas and further towards the valley.
“During clashes, few miscreants-terrorists were killed and 3 soldiers were injured”.
