Islamabad, May 2 ,IRNA -- Pakistan’s main Islamic party Saturday strongly condemned statements from the U.S leadership who have criticized the country’s civil government and denigrated it by declaring it fragile, ineffective, inefficient and insecure.
Deputy chief of Jamaat-e-Islami Senator Prof. Khurshid Ahmad said that interventions in Pakistan’s domestic affairs are a result of policy of appeasement and submission shown by the government to the demands of US leadership.
“The US leadership has also tried to eulogize leadership of the Army and tried to just give-ups military leadership against civil government. This pontification is adding insult to injury,” he said in a statement.
He said the people of Pakistan know that now their sovereignty is threatened by American interventions and drone attacks and present crisis is a result of American threat to Pakistan and the region.
Prof. Khurshid Ahmad demanded of political and military leadership of Pakistan to take immediate notice on these American onslaughts. “It is time to say firm NO to American demands”. He urged the government to realize that Pakistani nation will prefer to live without American aid and dictations and rejects American intervention in our affairs.
The Jamaat leader said that Pakistani nation knows the threats it is confronted with and America has no business to dictate to us from where the threat comes.
