Blast kills 4 in Pakistan's tribal region

Islamabad, April 27, IRNA - A bomb blast killed three children and a woman of a family in Pakistan’s North Waziristan tribal region on Sunday, witnesses said.
TV channels put the death toll at six.
They said the bomb might have been attached to a car and exploded when a family returning to home after visiting relatives at Datta Khel area in Waziristan.
Four other people were also injured in the blast. Motives of the incident were not clear.
Officials also confirmed the blast.
Locals say that the male members of the family were possessing arms and it was not clear if the bomb was attached to the vehicle or their own weapons were exploded.
A local said that one man was holding a hand grenade which exploded. The car was completely destroyed in the blast.
There is no ban on carrying arms in the tribal regions. Explosions of own arms have also taken place in Waziristan in the past.
