Car bomb kills 15 in northwest Pakistan
16/04/2009 12:51 KABUL, April 16 (RIA Novosti) - A suicide bomber drove a car packed with explosives into a police checkpoint in Tangi in Pakistan's northwest Charsadda District on Thursday morning, killing 15 people, Afghan radio reported.
According to Afghanistan's national Salam Watandar radio, eight police and seven civilians were killed. There is no information on the number of injured.
The Times of India cited district police chief Riaz Khan as saying: "Eight policemen and seven civilians were killed after a suicide bomber rammed an explosive-filled car into a police checkpost."
The radio station reported that no one has claimed responsibility for the attack.
