Gunmen kill senior Govt. official, three others in northern Pakistan

Unidentified gunmen shot dead a senior government officer and three others in attack in Pakistan's northern areas on Friday, police said.
Abdul Wahid, Director Agriculture Department in the Northern Areas was killed when his car came under attack near Gilgit, they said.
Police said that the government office was going to office in his car when the gunmen ambush the vehicle.
Wahid's daughter and two relatives died on the spot and his brother was seriously injured.
No group claimed responsibility for the attack. But police said the incident may be result of sectarian violence.
The attackers fled after the firing and police said they have launched search for the assailants Gilgit has seen sectarian violence in the past and that is authorities deployed extra police and paramilitary force to check any violence.
