Pakistan defence minister terms US forces incursion blatant violations

Pakistan Defence Minister Chaudhry Ahmed Mukhtar has said physical incursions into Pakistani territory by the US forces are against the initial agreements agreed between Pakistan and United States.
Talking to a private TV he said it was agreed that the sovereignty of Pakistan would be respected, adding that Pakistan's forces will take action in their territory while the Americans would look after inside Afghanistan.
"The war on terror is the war of entire world as if we are defeated today then terrorists will penetrate into other neighboring countries also".
Referring to meeting of Prime Minister Gilani and the US Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Mike Mullen he said the Prime Minister has launched strong protect to Mullen against the attack by the coalition forces during a meeting.
"Mr Mullen has been told clearly that Pakistan territories should not be raided," he said.
"They should share information with Pakistan's authorities and Pakistan forces would weed out the terrorists from Pakistani areas".
Quoting President Bush's statement vowing to respect the sovereignty of Pakistan he said Pakistan should believe the statement of a responsible person.
"I believe that the raids inside Pakistan's territory would be stopped now as Pakistan nation has taken a solid stand against the incursions," he said.
He blamed drug barons for fueling the situation as they are recruiting disgruntled elements on hefty salaries.
He urged Afghanistan to fence Durand Line to avoid flux of unwanted elements.
Pakistan has asked the coalition forces to set up check posts along the Afghan borders to control entering militants from its sides.
He rejected ceasefire with militant leader Maulvi Fazalullah in Swat despite latter's intention.
"Ceasefire enables local Taliban to regroup".
