Pakistan-Rejects

Pakistani Taliban on Thursday rejected a claim by Interior Ministry Chief that their chief Baitullah Mehsood has links with India.

Advisor to the Prime Minister on Interior Rahman Malik told reporters in Washington that Mehsood has connections with India.

"Ours is Jehadi organization and not the group of assassins," Taliban spokesman Maulvi Umar said.

"As Taliban consider the United States invader in Afghanistan we also dislike Indian intervention in Pakistan" he said.

Umar termed as malicious and baseless Malik's statement and said such remarks are not in Pakistan's interest.

"We can not even think to get help from aliens," the Taliban spokesman said.

Interior Advisor while talking about the situation in the tribal regions had alleged that India is behind the unrest.

He also accused Afghanistan of posing threats to Pakistan's stability.
