Pakistani PM Gilani condemns U.S-led coalition attack

Pakistani Prime Minister on Wednesday condemned air strike on its border check post by the coalition forces in Afghanistan, which resulted into the killing of 11 soldiers.

The army said that the coalition forces in Afghanistan last night attacked the check post at the tribal Mohmand Agency.

The Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani condemned the coalition attack when he spoke at the National Assembly when an opposition law maker raised the issue in the house.

"I condemn the attack and have instructed the Foreign Secretary to lodge a protest, " Gilani told the parliament.

"We have our sovereignty, dignity and self-respect for the country and will not accept such attacks," he said.

Earlier an opposition member raised the issue in the house and said that the attack resulted into the killing of Pakistani soldiers.

Later the house offered prayers for the soldiers killed in the attack.

Pakistan army says the attack was launched on an army border check post at Gora Prai area in Mohmand Agency by the Coalition Forces based in Afghanistan resulting in the killing of 11 Pakistan security personnel including an officer and injuries to several.
