Pakistan-Sharif deportation
Pakistan former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, who returned to the country on Monday morning after ending seven year of exile, was again deported after four-hour stay at the Islamabad International Airport, officials said.

Local TV channels showed footage of the take off of Sharif's plane, who was deported to Saudi Arabia in a plane of Pakistan International Airlines.

Nawaz Sharif was first sent into exile in 2000 one year after General Musharraf dismissed his government.

Earlier Minister for Railways Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said that Mr Sharif was taken into custody after a team of government officials talked with him.

Sharif's Muslim League-N party also filed a petition in the Supreme Court against his arrest and possible deportation.

It was feared in the petition that Mr Sharif would be deported again, the apprehension proved to be correct.

A team of government officials earlier held talks with Nawaz Sharif after the plane he was traveling in landed at the Islamabad airport at 8:45 a.m. and offered few options.

President of the ruling Muslim League-Q Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain said that Nawaz Sharif was offered two options either to be deported to Saudi Arabia or to be arrested and sent to jail.

Mr Sharif was later handed over to the Punjab police and he was taken into a helicopter out of the airport.

The helicopter took off from the airport but again landed after few minutes and Nawaz Sharif was transferred to the Saudi-bound special plane.

On August 23, Pakistan's Supreme Court ruled that the Sharifs have an inalienable right to enter and remain in country, as citizens of Pakistan under article 15 of the Pakistani constitution.

Their entry into the country shall not be restrained, hampered or obstructed by federal or provincial government agencies, in any manner, a seven-member bench of the court said in a unanimous decision.
