Pakistan Army unearths 'terror den' in religious school

Pakistan law enforcement forces have unearthed a network of terrorists working in North Waziristan Agency during an operation on a religious school near Miranshah, military and local correspondents said.
Those arrested have confessed to have set up a terrorist's den, planning and organizing centre at Abu Shoaib Madrassah located on road Miranshah-Ghulam Khan, that was busted by security forces in light of investigations carried out by intelligence agencies, said a press release issued by the ISPR in Peshawar.
One terrorist code named Malang was killed by the security forces while seven others including one foreign national belonging to this group were arrested on Wednesday.
"A large number of arms ammunition, grenades, rockets, explosives, fuses, booby traps, detonators, improvised explosive devices and documents containing circuit diagrams and hand written training notes were also recovered from the compound."
The group has also admitted that they were using Abu Shoaib Madrassah compound as planning centre for target killings, rocket attacks on military installations, recruiting and training camp for terrorist activities, according to the statement.
The political administration has sealed the madrassah for involvement in terrorist activities whereas the neihbouring compounds used by the terrorists are being demolished.
In North Waziristan Agency, the press release adds, rocket attacks were being launched and spate of improvised explosive devices attacks had continued against the law enforcement agencies in the recent past.
