Pakistan says US, UK deny exercises in Indian Kashmir

Pakistan said on Tuesday that the United States and Britain have denied reports that they have planned joint military exercises.
On Friday reports quoting Indian Air Chief S.P. Tyagi had said that India was going to hold joint air power exercises with US air force in held Kashmir in coming November and by the start of next year with the British air force.
"The governments of the US and the UK have refuted reports of any such exercises in the Indian Held Kashmir and stated that they have no such intentions," Pakistan Foreign Office spokesman Naeem Khan said in a statement.
The spokesman made the remarks when his attention was drawn to press reports about a joint military exercise being planned by the US and UK with Indian forces, according to the statement.
"The matter was taken up with both governments, in Islamabad as well as their respective capital," Khan said.
