Pakistan-Money Laundering
Pakistan has planned to enact anti-money laundering law for which a draft has been prepared by the Finance Ministry.
The imitative was aimed at curbing dubious financial transactions, and in order to check funding of terrorist activities, the daily Business Recorder reported.
The draft law has been made in consultations with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Accountability Bureau, Federal Investigation Agency and the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan.
It would soon be tabled in the Parliament for approval after it is okayed by the Cabinet, the reported added.
