Pakistan-Japan
Pakistan and Japan have discussed nuclear export control in a meeting here over Islamabad's command and control system of nuclear technology.
The News daily reported in its Tuesday issue that the experts from both sides met on Monday and host officials gave the details of leak-proof security system of Pakistan's nuclear assets.
When approached, the Japan Embassy in Islamabad declined to confirm or deny the meeting. However, it said such reports were seen in some newspapers.
Japan's prime minister was in Islamabad last week and some reports suggested that the matter of nuclear non-proliferation was discussed during his talks with Pakistani leadership.
Reports have also suggested that Japan had linked resumption of aid to information on Pakistan's cooperation in North Korea's nuclear program.
However, it was officially denied.
