US forces won`t be deployed in tribal areas: Pakistan

Islamabad, Jan 6, IRNA - Pakistan has said that there was no possibility of the deployment of the US forces in the tribal areas, an area considered to be the hub of foreign militants. Dawn newspaper in its Thursday issue quoted Interior Minister Aftab Ahmed Sherpao as saying that there was no possibility of the deployment of the US troops in Wana in South Waziristan tribal agency. He said neither US forces had launched any operation in the tribal locality nor are there any plan to deploy US forces there. With the launching of political measures and military operation things are improving day by day in Wana and the rest of the country, the minister told reporters on Wednesday. MHA/TSH/1430/1412
