N-control bill to be tabled in Pak assembly

Islamabad, Sept 13, IRNA -- Pakistan government will introduce a nuclear control bill in the Lower House of the Parliament on Monday and push for its enactment the same day, a local publication wrote. The News reported in its Monday issue that the bill seeks 14 years jail and Rs. 5 million fine in addition to confiscation of properties of the guilty nuclear scientists and others. The purpose of the bill, the daily added, is to safeguard national security and foreign policy objectives and to fulfil the country`s international obligations as a responsible nuclear weapons state and check the proliferation of nuclear and biological weapons and missiles capable of delivering such weapons.
