200 Al-Qaeda suspects arrested in two weeks in Pakistan

Islamabad, August 8, IRNA -- Pakistan`s law-enforcement agencies have arrested as many as 200 Al-Qaeda suspects in two weeks, newspaper reports said on Sunday. According to The News daily, the foreigners whose visas have expired or are carrying invalid documents are also being questioned. These people, the daily said, were being interrogated for having links with Bin Laden`s organization. However, some of the foreigners have no legal documents to live in Pakistan or their documents had expired, the local NNI news agency reported. Pakistani officials in recent weeks have arrested many local and foreigners for having alleged links with Al-Qaeda, saying some of these carry millions of dollars reward on their heads.
