Pakistan`s missile, N-program continuing: scientist

Islamabad, March 23, IRNA -- Pakistan`s nuclear scientist Samar Mubarakmand has said Pakistan`s missile and nuclear programs are continuing as the government has provided necessary budgetary resources. "We have the necessary devoted manpower and infrastructure and are achieving all the targets," Mubarakmand said here Tuesday. President Musharraf conferred highest Civil Award Nishan-i Imtiaz on Samar Mubarakmand in a function on the country`s Republic Day. "I thank the government for the award as it was a recognition of the hard work of scientists of Pakistan and would encourage them," Mubarakmand said. President Musharraf decorated twenty nine military and one hundred and eight civil awards at a ceremony at Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad. The awards have been given in recognition of outstanding services rendered by the officials of the Armed forces and civilians in their respective fields. The ceremony was attended by the Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali, federal ministers, services chiefs, high ranking civil and military officers and diplomats. Twenty nine Hilal-i Imtiaz (military) were conferred on officers of the armed forces. TK/TSH/216 End
