Pakistan committed to nuclear non-proliferation: PM

ISLAMABAD, Feb. 25 (Xinhuanet) -- Pakistani Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali here on Wednesday said the country is a responsible nuclear state and it is firmly committed to nuclear non-proliferation.
He made the remarks while talking to Pakistan's Ambassador to the United States Ashraf Jehangir Qazi, who called on him at the Prime Minister House, according to a report of the Associated Press of Pakistan.
The prime minister was quoted as saying that Pakistan has taken stringent measures to ensure nuclear non-proliferation "at all levels."
The ambassador informed the prime minister that the US administration was satisfied with the assurances by Pakistan, regarding nuclear non-proliferation, said the APP.
Earlier this year, Abdul Qadeer Khan, the founder of Pakistan's nuclear program, was found involved in the transfer of nuclear technology to Iran.
