Rashid delivers Pak leadership`s message to Indian Premier

New Delhi, Nov 11, IRNA -- In the first political contact after the April peace initiatives in Agra, Indian Premier Atal Bihari Vajpayee on Tuesday shook hands with Pakistan Information minister Sheikh Rashid who said he had delivered a "short, sweet and smart message" from the Pakistani leadership. The Pakistani minister, who stood next to Vajpayee and exchanged pleasantries, later told reporters that he has "conveyed to Prime Minister Vajpayee the good wishes of President Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Zafarullah Khan Jamali," reported press Trust of India (PTI) on Tuesday. "We are waiting for his (Vajpayee) tour to the SAARC Summit" in Islamabad in January, he said. "That is the message I gave him," Rashid said, adding, the Indian Premier responded saying "milenge" (we will meet). Earlier, the Indian Premier inaugurated the third South Asian Association of Regional Conference (SAARC) of Information Ministers. The agenda proposed by the SAARC secretariat is expected to be adopted on Tuesday. /210 End
