Nation to observe
" Yome -Takbeer"
with great zeal: Shahbaz
LAHORE, May 23 (APP)- Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif
has said the alive nation will commemorate "Yome-Takbeer" with fervour and
enthusiasm in order to inform the importance of memorable moments of atomic explosions
to the young generation.
He expressed these views while presiding over a high-level meeting for reviewing the
arrangements of functions of 'Yome-Takbeer here Saturday'.
He said that Pakistan under the leadership of Prime Minister, Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has
appeared as the first Islamic atomic power on the globe after making its defence
impregnable.
He urged that to commemorate this day in the history of Pakistan, coordination committees
comprising district presidents of PML, elected representatives and local
administration be set up in all the districts. He stated in order to highlight this event
Inter Collegiate 'Yome -Takbeer' debate competition be held at Al-Hamra Hall on May 26 and
be awarded with cash prizes among students exhibiting outstanding performance.
He stressed the members of Assembly to make arrangements for observance of this day, as
the nation participates in the ceremonies of 14th August with enthusiasm and also arrange
for holding of public gatherings in provincial constituencies.
