Press release on Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov's meeting with Foreign Minister of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Than Swe

On October 28, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met with Foreign Minister of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Than Swe on the sidelines of the 3rd Minsk International Conference on Eurasian Security.
During the conversation, the parties considered the prospects of further deepening their bilateral relations in the priority areas, including the political dialogue, trade, economic, investment and humanitarian ties with an emphasis on implementing the agreements reached at the top level. The parties have agreed to continue coordination of their efforts in the international and regional arena.
Following the talks, they signed an agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar on the mutual cancellation of visa requirements for the citizens of the Russian Federation and the citizens of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, and the schedule of inter-ministry consultations for 2025-2027.
