Yukio Hatoyama Elected Japanese PM

Pyongyang, September 18 (KCNA) -- Yukio Hatoyama, president of the Democratic Party of Japan, was elected prime minister of Japan in a majority vote at the special Diet session held on Sept. 16.
This resulted in a formal launch of the Hatoyama Cabinet on the same day.
Earlier, the Aso Cabinet resigned en masse.
