- China-Japan Boundary Dispute Talks End with No Agreement VOA 31 May 2005 -- Chinese and Japanese officials have reached no agreement following two days of talks on a boundary dispute in the East China Sea.
- China/Japan: New Sour Note On Bilateral Relations RFE/RL 24 May 2005 -- China's strained relations with Japan took another turn for the worse yesterday when Vice Prime Minister Wu Yi cancelled a meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi, and cut short her visit to Japan. - GE to Supply IHI with LM2500 Gas Turbines to Power Japan's 16DDH Destroyer GE Marine 04 May 2005 -- GE Transportation's marine gas turbine business announced it will supply Ishikawajima-Harima Heavy Industries, Co. Ltd. (IHI) with four GE LM2500 aeroderivative gas turbines. The engines will power the first of a new class of Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force's (JMSDF) helicopter-carrying destroyers.
