ISRAEL AND U.S. TO SIGN AGREEMENT ON THIRD
ARROW MISSILE BATTERY
Defense Minister Yitzhak Mordechai and Gen. Lester Lyles,
Director of the United States Anti-Ballistic Missile
Administration, intend to sign an agreement today that would
allocate $45 million toward Israel's development of a third
Arrow missile battery, HA'ARETZ reported.
Mordechai recently clarified that the sole purpose of the Arrow
system is to provide for Israel's defense. Mordechai said that
Israel has no intention of selling the new missile or its
technology at this stage.
