Iron Dome fails to intercept Iranian ballistic missiles

Tehran, IRNA -- The Israeli regime's defense systems, including the Iron Dome, have failed to intercept ballistic missiles fired from Iran toward the occupied territories, with released images showing the missiles raining down and hitting their designated targets.
Based on the images, the missiles fired at the occupied territories were equipped with cluster warheads, a feature that led to the confusion of air defense systems to intercept the weapons.
This is the first time that Iran has used missiles equipped with cluster warheads.
Israel's Iron Dome also failed to intercept Iranian missiles in the al-Khalil region.
Iran on Saturday night and early Sunday launched hundreds of missiles and drones at key military sites in the Israeli-occupied territories in retaliation for the regime's airstrike on the Iranian consulate in Syria that left seven military advisors dead on April 1.
