Since the start of the war, Prime Minister's Office (PMO) Director General Yossi Shelley has, on a daily basis, convened the forum of government ministry directors general to assess the situation in order to coordinate all actions by the various government ministries and assist with the bureaucracy and hasten government processes. It has been decided - inter alia - to assign project managers on issues that will be defined below.

Following is a list of the issues that have been discussed and are being addressed:

1. Assistance in evacuating residents from required localities in the south and housing them in hotels.

2. Hastening the identification process of those who were murdered by utilizing databases in the relevant ministries. Assistance to the families will be increased by adapting and improving the 105 switchboard.

3. Opening a government public diplomacy center.

4. Continuing and increasing assistance in the return of Israelis from overseas.

5. Government assistance in transitioning to remote learning in the education systems.

6. Starting to deal with the rehabilitation of community buildings that have been damaged, in cooperation with local council heads and as per assessments of the situation and the ability to work on the ground.

7. Operating and reinforcing the various control centers in government ministries.

Additionally, the PMO Director General, together with the Director General of the Energy Ministry, have begun the process of estimating and increasing the energy situation ahead of the anticipated fighting.

During the week, PMO Director General Shelley toured Ofakim, the Dead Sea and the Shura IDF base, where the bodies of those who were murdered are being received and identified. The PMO Director General is expected to hold additional tours in the coming days.
