PM Yair Lapid Speaks with Southern Local Authority Heads

Prime Minister Yair Lapid held a conference call with southern local authority heads and updated them on the latest security developments in the area adjacent to the Gaza Strip.
Prime Minister Lapid told the authority heads that he understands the harm to daily routine but emphasized that he will not allow the current situation to continue for very long. He made it clear that Israel is prepared for any scenario and will take necessary action against any organization that threatens the security of Israeli citizens. The Prime Minister noted that he will hold another security consultation later today.
Prime Minister Lapid instructed Prime Minister's Office (PMO) Director General Naama Schultz to render all necessary assistance in the immediate, short and long terms.
PMO Director General Schultz, Cabinet Secretary Shalom Shlomo, the Prime Minister's Military Secretary Maj.-Gen. Avi Gil, Sderot Mayor Alon Davidi, Eshkol Regional Council Chairman Gadi Yarkoni, Hof Ashkelon Regional Council Chairman Itamar Revivo, Sdot Negev Regional Council Chairman Tamir Idan and Sha'ar Hanegev Regional Council Chairman Ofir Leibstein participated in the call.
