/THERE IS NO [ (b)(1) sec 1.3(a)(4) ] EVIDENCE THAT THE OSIRAK
REACTOR IS
/HOUSED IN THE BUILDING REPORTED AS DAMAGED [ (b)(1) sec
1.3(a)(4) ] THE
/DAMAGED BUILDING FORMERLY HOUSED THE OSIRAK REACTOR THAT WAS
/DESTROYED IN 1981. THE SECTION OF THE BUILDING WHICH HOUSED THE
/OSIRAK REACTOR WAS REBUILT IN EARLY 1989, AND NOW MAY CONTAIN
/OFFICES AND LABORATORIES. THE HIGH BAY SECTION OF THE BUILDING
/CONTAINS THE 800 KILOWATT ISIS REACTOR. THE FULL EXTENT OF DAMAGE
/TO THE BUILDING ON 17 JANUARY CANNOT BE ASSESSED [ (b)(1) sec
1.3(a)(4) ]

/COMMENTS -- [ (b)(1) sec 1.3(a)(4) ]THERE IS A SMALL AMOUNT
OF HIGHLY ENRICHED URANIUM STORED IN THE ISIS REACTOR BUILDING. IF
THE ISIS REACTOR WAS DESTROYED OR HEAVILY DAMAGED, OR IF ANY
HIGHLY-ENRICHED URANIUM FUEL WAS STORED WITHIN THE BUILDING, THE
POTENTIAL ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARD WOULD BE MINIMAL AND ANY PUBLIC
HEALTH EFFECT PROBABLY WOULD BE UNDETECTABLE OFF SITE.
