HIGHLIGHTS
--STRATEGIC AND NONCONVENTIONAL WEAPONS FACILITIES HAVE
BEEN THE HARDEST HIT OF IRAQ'S DEFENSE INDUSTRIES.
SOME OF IRAQ'S NUCLEAR FACILITIES ARE EXTENSIVELY
DAMAGED, BUT MANY BUILDINGS AND SUSPECT NUCLEAR SITES
INTACT. IRAQ'S BIOLOGICAL AND CHEMICAL MUNITION PRODUCTION
CAPACITIES HAVE BEEN REDUCED          BY COALITION
AIRSTRIKES. BAGHDAD ALMOST CERTAINLY RETAINS THE ABILITY TO
USE CHEMICAL WEAPONS
AT THE TUWAITHA NUCLEAR RESEARCH CENTER. THE
BUILDING CONTAINING THE          RESEARCH
REACTOR SHOWS SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE,
THE
RESEARCH REACTOR PROBABLY HAS BEEN
DESTROYED.
FUEL
FABRICATION LABORATORY AND A LABORATORY SUSPECTED OF
URANIUM ENRICHMENT RESEARCH ALSO WERE DESTROYED.
DAMAGE WAS INFLICTED ON A LABORATORY CAPABLE OF SMALL-
SCALE REPROCESSING.
--IRAQ'S CHEMICAL WARFARE FACILITIES ALSO HAVE BEEN
DAMAGED. AT SAMARRA CW FACILITY,
BUILDINGS PROBABLY USED TO FILL AMMUNITION AND
WAREHOUSES WERE          DAMAGED. TWO PRODUCTION
BUILDINGS WERE DESTROYED, AND          DAMAGE
OTHER PRODUCTION-RELATED BUILDINGS,
PROBABLE FILLING BUILDING, AND          STORAGE
BUNKERS ARE          INTACT. AT THE HABBANIYAH
PRECURSOR PRODUCTION FACILITY,
DAMAGED.
BUILDINGS
DESTROYED AT THE ABU GHURAYB AND TAJI
BIOLOGICAL WARFARE FACILITIES.          BW
PRODUCTION PLANT IN ABU GHURAYB IS INTACT.
BUNKERS
DESTROYED.
--THE SALMAN PAK CBW RESEARCH, PRODUCTION, AND STORAGE
FACILITY ALSO WAS DAMAGED.
