E. THE HQ OF THE PC-3 ELECTRICAL GROUP, WITH TWO 
LABORATORIES FOR COMPUTER AND CONTROL, SUSTAINED ROOF DAMAGE 
ABOUT TWO WEEKS AFTER THE BEGINNING OF THE WAR.  MOST OF THE 
EQUIPMENT WHICH REMAINED THERE WAS SAVED. 
F. THE PC-3 MECHANICAL ENGINEERING GROUP 
       ADMINISTRATION BUILDING WAS DAMAGED, BUT NO MAJOR 
EQUIPMENT WAS INSIDE AT THE TIME. 
 
G. THE PERSONNEL DEPARTMENT BUILDING WAS DAMAGED. 
H. THE PC-3 URANIUM-ENRICHMENT BUILDING SUSTAINED LIGHT 
DAMAGE.  IT WAS THE ONLY PC-3 PROJECT BUILDING OF MAJOR 
OPERATIONAL SIGNIFICANCE LEFT AT TUWAITHA.  AT THIS 
FACILITY, U235 ALREADY ENRICHED TO 35 PERCENT WAS BEING 
ENRICHED TO WEAPONS-GRADE LEVEL THE BUILDING HOUSED FIVE  
ELECTROMAGNETIC SEPARATION CELLS 
 
5. THE AL-SAFAA URANIUM-ENRICHMENT FACTORY LOCATED NORTH OF 
BAGHDAD AND JUST NORTH OF THE AL-TAJI MILITARY COMPLEX IN 
TARMIYA WAS HIT BY ALLIED BOMBS.  IT WAS EQUIPPED WITH 20 
ELECTROMAGNETIC CELLS LOCATED IN TWO SEPARATE BUILDINGS.  
ONE OF THE BUILDINGS WAS HIT, WHICH RESULTED IN THE LOSS OF 
SOME OF THE EQUIPMENT HOUSED INSIDE.  DAMAGE TO THE AL-SAFAA 
OPERATIONS WAS ASSESSED AT 30 TO 50 PERCENT.
